If you find it difficult to find and organise exciting activities for PSHE & Careers events at your school, take a look at our workshops below. They are all hands on and bring the subjects to life, giving your pupils meaningful experiences that can help them make more informed decisions and help you save time and effort in organising events. You can have single workshops or a whole day of events for your school.

Health Awareness Day

If you want a whole day of events for a whole year group, this is the perfect option for you. All you have to do is book a hall and several rooms for us, supply the pupils and we will do the rest! Health & Fitness MOT

Amaze and engage all of your students, even those that are the most resistant in class, with hands on activities that support the many science curriculums at all key stages & levels.

The Health MOT is a great way to bring biology to life. By using our specialist equipment, students will be able to record & monitor their own physiology, including their lung sizes and efficiency, the angle of their heart in their chest, examine X-rays, measure blood pressures and video the inside of their ears! They can also see what they will look like when they are 72 and then see the effects of smoking, obesity and sunlight exposure. The most popular activity is testing each other strength and seeing who can jump the highest on our special jump mat.

Drug & Knife Awareness

The impact of carrying a knife or using a drug can be severe, affecting the lives of young people, their friends and family. To demonstrate the physical effects of a knife injury or taking drugs such as ecstasy, heroin or amphetamines, we use Stan the Patient Simulator. Stan reacts just like a normal person if he is injured or takes a drug (all electronically!) allowing pupils to see the full effects of his actions.

Hi-Definition Fitness

No health day would be complete without some sort of exercise! Hi-Definition Fitness is a fun workshop where your pupils can race each other on indoor rowing machines, dance on arcade style dance mats, test how fast they can kick or throw a ball with our speed cage, test their strength and jumping ability as well as try and beat the world record on our BATAK wall.

Careers in Health

The Careers in Health workshop supports the QCA WRL framework elements and inspires your students to think about their career aspirations! It is also suitable for the many health curriculums currently taught.

The workshop brings the health sector to your classroom, so students (and teachers!) will be able to try their hand at some of the skills used in this sector and gain a valuable insight into the many career paths available. Activities include how to take a set of nursing observations, how to take blood from our injection simulator and how to move a patient using a hoist.

Curriculum Info

All our workshops are mapped to the national curriculum and exam boards including Edexcel, AQA and OCR. When you book just let us know which subject and exam board you are using and we will make sure we cover all the right learning outcomes.
